This exhibit was designed for JIAS (Jewish Immigrant Aid Services) as part of a summer internship with the Ontario Jewish Archives. It was created to compliment the travelling Refugee Canada exhibit from the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21.
Over the course of a summer I researched and created an exhibit on the history of JIAS. I worked with the Archives' graphic designer to decide on the colour and style of the banners and used that design to create an accompanying Digital Exhibition.
Love the Stranger has been exhibited at Holy Blossom Temple for the JIAS Centennial, at the Meridian Arts Centre during the run of Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story, and at the Lipa Green Centre for Limmud 2023.
I also gave a speech at the Love the Stranger launch event, which can be watched below.
